Mid Atlantic Academies Championship
Digital Services Disclosure and Data Use Consent
June 26-27, 2026. Mount St. Mary's University, Emmitsburg, Maryland. Produced by Give it a Try, LLC ("GIAT"), operator of the Pathways and Rising Tide services.
In plain language: we run the tournament on our own software. Your player's name, team, and match events (tries, cards, substitutions) are recorded digitally, and some of that appears on the public live-scores page the same way it would appear in a printed program or local match report. Because the software is how the Event is run, this is part of participating; what you control is how your player is shown publicly (full name or initials) and what happens to the data afterward. This form spells all of that out.
Who signs. If the Participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian signs and "I" refers to that parent or guardian. If the Participant is 18 or older, the Participant signs for themselves.
1. What we collect
To operate the Event, the platform records: roster information provided by your team (Participant name, date of birth for division eligibility, jersey number, position, captain status); match events (scores, tries, conversions, penalties, cards, substitutions, and match timing, which may reference the Participant by name and number); and administrative records (waiver and consent status, check-in status, and team contact details provided by the team manager). The platform does not collect medical information; emergency and medical details are collected only on the paper Participation Agreement and stay with Event staff.
2. What is public, and your display choice
The Event's public page shows schedules, live scores, standings, and results. Match events and rosters on the public page may show the Participant's name, team, and jersey number, comparable to a printed program or published match report.
3. How data is handled
Storage and processing. Data is stored with established cloud infrastructure providers using reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects the Participant's personal information, GIAT will notify affected families as required by applicable law.
No sale of data. GIAT does not sell participant personal information and does not share it with third parties except the service providers that host and operate the platform.
Retention. Tournament results (scores, standings, match events) are retained as the historical record of the Event. Roster personal details beyond name, number, and team are retained no longer than needed for eligibility verification and dispute resolution, then deleted or de-identified.
Your rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the Participant's personal information using the contacts in Section 5. Deletion requests are honored except where a minimal record (for example, a match result) must be preserved for the integrity of competition records, in which case the record is de-identified instead.
Participants under 13. The Event is intended for high school age players and the platform does not knowingly process data of children under 13. If a team intends to roster a participant under 13, the team must contact GIAT in advance so that a legally compliant parental consent process can be arranged before any data is processed.
4. Consent to digital operations
Because the Event is operated on the platform, the digital operations described in Sections 1 through 3 are a condition of participation, with the public display choice in Section 2 available to every family. I consent to the collection and use of the Participant's information as described in Sections 1 through 3 for the purpose of operating the Event.
5. General terms and contact
This consent is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland; any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Frederick County, Maryland. Data requests: Give it a Try, LLC, Attn: Data Requests, connect@rising-tide.io.
Rev. 2026-06-10. Bring the signed form to team check-in. One form per player.
